HIGH precision products and technologies and the evolution of traditional industries into advanced manufacturing counterparts define trends at this year’s Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show 2014 (MWCS 2014) and Industrial Automation Show 2014 (IAS 2014).
The concurrent trade fairs, which open today at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, are positioned to offer a one-stop business platform for industry display, promotion, trade, and services. The shows will last until November 8. Nearly 100 overseas buyer groups are expected to troop to Shanghai, China for these trade fairs.
More than 500 major international exhibitors will showcase their latest products and innovations at the MWCS 2014. The show’s 60,000 square meters of total display area will highlight advanced product categories that reflect the fair’s emphasis on transforming traditional industries.
Notable exhibitors at the show include Trumpf, Amada, Salvagnini, Prima-Power, LVD, Mitsubishi, Muratec, Flow, Ras, Adira, Pivatic, Arku, Kohler, Megafab, Cidan, Omax, ETS, Accurepress, Hans Laser, Unity-Prima, Lead, Favor Laser, ACL, Jinfangyuan, Yawei, Lag, and Jiemai. New participants such as Italy Prima-Power, a leader in sheet metal processing machinery; Belgium LVD, an expert in bending machines; and Japan Meruga will also exhibit their new products and equipment. Suppliers of stamping, surface treatment, elbow pipe, welding, cutting, and software services will also display their equipment and promote services during the show.
Most exhibitors at the recently concluded EuroBLECH 2014 International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition in Hanover, Germany, will likewise bring their exhibits to MWCS 2014, marking these products’ launch in Asia. Buyers and visitors alike will have the opportunity to see the world’s most advanced sheet metal forming technologies.
IAS 2014 will underscore advanced automation and intelligent robots. About 500 exhibitors will occupy a total display area of 40,000 square meters at the show. The robot section in Hall N1 will put the spotlight on various robots and robot arms, and will gather together major local and foreign robot manufacturers such as ABB, Fanuc, Kuka, Nachi, Yaskawa, Hyundai, Staubli, Epson, and Yamaha. The robot competition held during the fair is expected to spur further technology advancements and competition.
The fair will also present the latest in system controls, sensor connectors, cabinets, motors, and accessories from leading manufacturers, including Siemens, ABB, Phoenix, Rittal, Turck, ifm, Pepperl-Fuchs, Balluff, Beckhoff, Sanyo Denki, SMC, and THK.
MWCS 2014 and IAS 2014 will be complemented by more than 20 professional forums and events held concurrently to bring together industry leaders, professionals, and executives to discuss hot topics pertaining to innovations in industrial technology.
