MWCS/IAS 2014 highlight high-precision technologies

China International Industry Fair, Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show 2014 (MWCS 2014) and Industrial Automation Show 2014 (IAS 2014) have recently concluded at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The exhibition attracted numerous visitors and buyers from home and abroad. This year’s show emphasized on the presentation of high-precision products and technologies in CNC machine tool and automation, interpreting the upgrading and transforming of traditional industries to advanced manufacturing industries, and creating one-stop business platform for industry display, promotion, trade and services.

MWCS 2014 has focused on the transforming of traditional industry. This year, product categories have  increased and exhibit craftsmanship has been upgraded and updated. with a total display area of 60,000 square meters, more than 550 international notable exhibitors including Trumpf, AMADA, Salvagnini, Prima-Power, LVD, Mitsubishi, Muratec, FLOW, RAS, ADIRA, Pivatic, ARKU, KOHLER, Megafab, CIDAN, Accurepress, Hans Laser, Unity-Prima, Lead, Favor Laser, ACL, Jinfangyuan, Yawei, LAG and Jiemai brought advanced flexible machine tool equipment integrating mechanical arm and material warehouse to the show. Italy Prima-Power, the leader in sheet metal processing machinery, Belgium LVD, the professor in bending machine, Japan MERUGA, and other leading brands, as new exhibitors, will be exhibited at the show with Asian-first-published equipment.

It is worth mentioning that MWCS, as a relevant exhibition of the same industry after the world’s largest grand meeting in sheet metal – EuroBLECH is held, has optimized its resource platform. Most EuroBLECH exhibitors has transported their world-premiered exhibits to China Shanghai, and these exhibits were launched firstly in Asia or China in the spotlight of MWCS.

In the meantime, IAS 2014 attracted 500 exhibitors within the display area of 40,000 square meters, fully embracing the upcoming of advanced automation and intelligent robot era. Various robots and robot arms displayed were the biggest highlights. At the exhibition this year, the robot section occupied Hall N1 of Shanghai New International Expo Centre alone, and collected domestic and overseas top robot manufacturers: ABB, FANUC, KUKA, NACHI, YASKAWA, HYUNDAI, STAUBLI, EPSON and YAMAHA. System control, sensor connector, cabinet, motor and accessories attracted industry’s leading enterprises: Siemens, ABB, Phoenix, Rittal, Turck, ifm, Pepperl-Fuchs, Balluff, Beckhoff, SANYO DENKI, SMC and THK.

More than 20 professional forums and events were held concurrently, inviting professional scholars in the industry and company executives to discuss hot topics on the innovation of industrial technology. Nearly one hundred overseas buyer groups visited the show for exchange and trade.
