In 2012, Murrelektronik Components (Shanghai) started to push and increase its capacities in producing transformers, power supplies, relays and interface systems.They have just started to localize most of its key products for the Asian market. In combination with localization, they are putting more focus on the professional market approach with its sales and technical support team.

Joerg Kersten, General Manager Sales & Marketing, Murrelektronik Components (Shanghai) Co. Ltd, said, “We are putting a lot of focus into innovations which are usually invented together with our customers. We have a new remote controlled relay (Miro GSM) which is controlled via SMS. Also Safety products and the enlarge range of Mico family (intelligent fuse) are new products which we are promoting. Finally we are promoting all Murrelektronik products to provide good solutions for the customer’s machine. Our overall target is not to sale components it is more to provide utmost, intelligent and effective solutions for our partner in the industrial automation market!”

 

The Chinese Market is one of the biggest but also one of the toughest. More customers today put focus on high-end and new solutions which give them a better competitive advantage in the market especially when they go on the world market with export in direction to Americas and Europe, instead of just looking on prices. If China wants to take a leading and innovative role in the industrial automation with similar standards to Europe China need to put more focus on topics like efficiency, productivity, etc. The industrial automation market is not the most innovative one and trends come slow. China is not a trend setter today but more and more the solution and innovation comes into focus. It will take time for topics of real and total safety solution, energy saving concepts implementation. Murrelektronik is in touch with our partners in the industry and support and develop new ideas. Our key target is not to sell a product to a customer we are looking for solutions which benefits the customer in regards to quick, easy installation as well as maintenance of their machines. Furthermore we are looking into the machine together with the customer to increase the efficiency and machine productivity. Murrelektronik is a professional partner who consults the customer on a holistic evaluation for best solutions – engineering, installation, and maintenance, diagnostic and innovative products.

Murrelektronik had one of the best years in 2011 with a nearly double growth. Unfortunately we already experienced a slow down by end of last year and the trend unfortunately continued. Luckily due to the diversification of products, industry segments and the new approach the effect of the slowdown in China not affected us too much.
