Universal Robots will increase its presence in China within the next three years. "We expect to increase service and support organization, thereby ensuring that we can continue to offer top quality support to our Chinese customers," Enrico Krog Iversen, CEO of Universal Robots, Universal Robots.

Universal Robots, an innovative and globally successful Danish manufacturer of robots, brings “The world’s most innovative robot” to IAS this year. The UR5 robotic arm manufactured by Universal Robots has been announced “The world’s most innovative robot” by The International Federation of Robotics and IEEE Robotics and Automation Society in May 2012.

The robotic arm is light, safe, flexible and eco-friendly. It can be easily moved around the production area and present a plug-and-play solution; a simple user interface lets employees with no previous programming experience quickly set up and operate them. A significant benefit is the robot’s capability to operate with no safety shielding. The robot arm was developed specifically with the requirements of small and medium-sized enterprises in mind. It operates cost-efficiently and pays off within an operating period of only six to eight months.

The UR5 is now used in China's household appliance, auto parts, general commodity, painting, machinery, electroplating, micro motor, medial, and education, vision and AGV industries.

Universal Robots’ simple, flexible, affordable and eco-friendly robots help China SMBs to gain a competitive edge. As China evolves from a low-cost manufacturing base to a service and innovation-driven economy, many local factories are resorting to automation to gain a competitive edge. This is driving a boom in demand for industrial robots that will soon make China the world's largest robotics market.

"It is very likely that Universal Robots will increase its presence in China within the next three years. We expect to increase service and support organization, thereby ensuring that we can continue to offer top quality support to our Chinese customers. If sales volumes grow as expected, then it is also very likely that we will see some kind of localization of the UR robots in China within a three year period," Mr. Enrico Krog Iversen, Кроссовки Lifestyle
