Myanmar prepares for first functional food exhibition

MYANMAR is hosting Functional Food Myanmar 2016 (FFM) from 20-22 May at the Rose Garden Hotel in Yangon. The first international exhibition for the industry in Myanmar expects 70 exhibitors in the following categories: Nutritional Supplement; Packaging Machinery; Plants and parts of plants for therapeutic use; Printer and plotter; Physical treatment and healthcare; Tobacco, coffee, tea and beverage; and General business services.

FFM will welcome some 2,000 visitors from 10 countries, such as Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, USA, UK, according to Romain Marselli, business development director of Minh Vi Exhibition & Advertisement Services Co., Ltd, the show organizer.

“Functional Food Myanmar 2016 is a place where products and services infood supplement industry, biomedicine for health and beauty, laboratory equipment, research and development ideas, processes and methods of treatment, raw materials, vegetables and clean food as well as food and health-related service are brought from all around the world to entrepreneurs. The event will also be a platform for trade negotiation for entrepreneurs in the food industry in the Asian region,” Mr Marselli said during a press conference.
