MAKERS of bakery and confectionery can add dietary fiber to their products using Fibruline®. Derived from chicory root fiber, this natural ingredient is odor-free, tasteless and white in color. According to Cosucra, the soluble fiber is not digested in the stomach and small intestine, but passes through the digestive system intact, and fermented by beneficial bacteria.
At Vitafoods Europe, the company (stand J72) will demonstrate how Fibruline® can add value to everyday food products. It will also launch Fibruline® S30, an upgraded granulated inulin with increased solubility that is ideal for bakery and confectionery applications.
