Naturex acquires Decas Botanical Synergies

Avignon – Naturex Group has acquired Decas Botanical Synergies, the US expert in cranberry-derived ingredients for the nutrition and health industry. Based in Massachusetts, Decas Botanical Synergies specialises in cranberry extracts and powders for nutraceuticals in tablets, capsules, soft gels and soft chews. Its ingredients portfolio includes Proanthocyanidin (PAC) standardised powders and extracts, as well as juice concentrate powders and cold pressed seed oils.The flagship brand PACran? is a proprietary blend of whole fruit and is supported by two clinical studies, six US and three international patents. In addition, it is the first cranberry ingredient in the world to receive a Health Claim (in Korea). In the US market it can be labeled as “PACran? helps support urinary tract health.”

Both companies are expected to gain from the acquisition in terms of R&D and QC capabilities, and product enhancement. Naturex will manufacture the products and ensure the supply in Europe, Africa, the Americas and Asia through its sales network.
