NCCM wiper bar II solves coil processors headache

The new product solves a problem that has plagued coil line processors for years: the need to frequently change a felt, rubber and cork wiper bar.  

The strong, synthetic fiber construction of NCCM Wiper Bar II resists tearing, gouging, chunking and pilling caused by sharp, ragged edges on metal strips. The wiper bar is compressible which means it maintains a uniform, even edge that follows surfaces closely, even when there are variations in the thickness of the metal.  Compressibility that creates good, firm pressure is why the product holds back fluids long after other products fail, and it's also the reason why Wiper Bar II reduces streaking and scratching that can damage valuable specialty metal coils.

Wiper Bar II has many uses.  The bars improve fluid control consistency and reduce dry spots on oil drag temper mills and reduce scratching and slippage entry and exit coil loaders.  The bars also can be used as protective pads on crane hooks to protect steel from gouging and scratching as coils are moved around the mill.  The bars improve quality and increase productivity by reducing strip contamination in drag wipe operations in cold mill reduction and they reduce defects when used as clean work rolls in cold mills.  All of these applications require a wiper bar that can reduce metal slippage, protect coils from gouging and scratching and reducing rejects in general. 

Wiper Bar II is available in three densities, in lengths ranging from 1 - 110 inches, widths of 1-24 inches and thicknesses of 1/8, ?, 3/8, ?, 5/8, ? and l inches.  They can be used individually, or they can be butted together to fit most application requirements.  They also provide excellent performance as tension bars on slitting lines. 

Long life, better cleaning and wiping action and ease of use are all good reasons to look at replacing rubber, felt and cork bars.  But another equally important reason to consider NCCM Wiper Bar II is because they are very cost efficient.  They can lower operating costs by reducing expensive downtime to replace bars and by preventing damaged or marred surface.
