New consumer-friendly anti-aging powder

A NEW anti-aging nutritional supplement in the form of an on-the-go powdered product in a stick package will be launched in Hong Kong. The new concept from Laboratoire PYC will be shown at Stand 1E-FIB (France Pavilion) of the Cosmoprof Asia 2014 trade show from November 12 to 14.

Laboratoire PYC, a B-to-B expert in dietetic products and nutritional supplements, has expanded its range with the beauty-boosting nutritional supplement sticks that are consumer-friendly. This latest nutricosmetic, the sixth powder in stick format, is a peach-flavoured oro-dispersible powder that dissolves in the mouth and provides a cocktail of four precisely portioned active ingredients designed to prevent skin aging: oxidative stress reduction, hydration and prevention of skin sagging.

“The confectionary effect is guaranteed with this sweet and acid melt-in-the-mouth powder,” Caroline Focillon, responsible for development, describes the concept.

“Our intent was to combine a moment of pleasure with effectiveness,” she explains.

Formula conceived for Europe and Asia

Conceived with the European and Asian nutricosmetics in mind, the formula includes vitamin C for its recognised and proven action in  helping to stimulate the formation of intrinsic collagen, whose essential function is to support the skin. In Europe, the following claim can be used: “Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin".

On the other hand, peach flavour is particularly popular in Asia, where Laboratoire PYC continues to expand. For the development of this new product, the R&D team drew inspiration from small beauty jellies sold in Asia, admits Ms Focillon.

In addition to collagen-enhancing vitamin C, the anti-aging powder also includes lutein, an antioxidant found naturally in the skin and plays a crucial role in eyesight. Scientific studies have validated the effectiveness of the anti-aging formula, with randomized double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trials demonstrating the photo-protective properties of lutein that combat oxidative stress and promote enhanced hydration and greater skin elasticity.

Fully customizable

A single dose in the form of a 3g stick covers the daily intake recommended by Laboratoire PYC  for optimal action. This formula is fully customizable, both in terms of flavours and  beauty active ingredients, such as collagen, co-enzyme Q10 and hyaluronic acid. “We tailor our product entirely to the customer's specifications,” Ms Focillon confirms.
