New leadership at Ishida

IN JUST the fourth leadership handover in 117 years at family-owned Ishida Co, Ltd, Takahide Ishida has taken over the presidency from his father, Ryuichi Ishida. Takahide Ishida, 40, will have a high standard to live up to as his father has served the company for 50 years, the last 42 of them as president. Ryuichi Ishida (left) saw the company through a 75-fold worldwide expansion and its development into a true packing solutions provider. Takahide looks forward to meeting further changes and challenges whilst keeping the €600-million turnover company's customer- and community-oriented ethos intact. Ryuichi Ishida remains available, in the capacity of chairman, to assist his son. Takahide, who holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was most recently vice president of Ishida.
