New team for Schaeffler automotive business

HERZOGENAURACH, Germany – Schaeffler AG said its executive board has appointed new management for the Engine Systems, Transmission Systems and Chassis Systems business divisions. From July 1, 2014, the following changes will take effect:

Klaus Cierocki, 47, currently president of the Engine Components business unit, will take over as president of the Engine Systems.  

Matthias Zink, 44, currently president of Automotive China and the Transmission

Technologies business unit, will assume responsibility for the Transmission

Systems.

J?rg Wagner, 53, currently responsible for the Chassis and Accessory Drives business unit, will assume responsibility for the Chassis Systems.

Prof Dr Peter Pleus and Norbert Indlekofer, who were appointed to the executive board of Schaeffler AG as CEO Automotive at the beginning of the year, said, “All three gentlemen have held different management positions at Schaeffler Automotive for several years and have made a decisive contribution to the success of the automotive business.”

Mr Cierocki and Mr Wagner will report to Prof Dr Pleus, and Mr Zink will report to Mr Indlekofer.
