The latest product trends from 3,100 exhibitors are expected to attract higher number of visitors in Guanzhou

GUANGZHOU-NEXT year’s edition of CHINAPLAS 2015 (The 29th International Exhibition on Plastics & Rubber Industries) is scheduled to be held on 20 - 23 May 2015 at the China Import & Export Fair Complex, Pazhou, Guangzhou, PR China. The show is expected to occupy 230,000sqm exhibition area with 3,100 exhibitors.

The trade exhibition has taken an important role in China’s industrial transformation being the venue where advanced technologies and products are presented every year to local and international audience. In addition to tremendous demand for high-end technology, industrialisation, urbanisation, market-orientation and internationalisation have further strengthened China’s role as the world’s leading producer and consumer of plastic and rubber products.

Southern China as hub for plastics and rubber production

Southern China has always been the hub for plastics and rubber industries. Up to the third quarter of 2013, the average export price of Guangdong’s plastic product was $3,125 per tonne, about 20.6% increase compared with 2012. The surge reflects the rising trend in high value-added production. At the same time, packaging, electrical and home appliances industries in Southern China are famous of high degree of internationalization and economies of scale. In view of the optimistic progress of the industry, the demand for quality machinery and raw materials should not be underestimated.

The 12th Five Year Plan also introduced directions for the development of the rubber industry, including new material development, low emission and recycling technology, enhancement and application of rubber composite, energy-saving and tire renewal technology, etc. The industry is expected to undergo transformation and technological improvement as planned.
