Nordson appoints new Sales Manager in China for fluid coating systems

Nordson Corporation has appointed Jie Hu to be sales manager in China for the Nordson Extrusion Dies Industries fluid coating product line. Mr. Hu will handl the sales of the full range of fluid coating products for applying water- or solvent-based coatings, including Premier fixed-lip and Ultracoat flexible-lip slot dies, die positioners, and fluid delivery systems.

“Jie’s sales and marketing experience with products for paper, film, and nonwoven web converting will enable him to provide valuable service to our customers in China,” according to Jason Yin, country general manager for extrusion. Mr. Jie will be helpful to companies that are considering the advantages of slot die coating as a more precise and efficient alternative to conventional application methods such as roll coating.

Mr. Hu previously served as regional marketing and sales manager for the Hangzhou-based subsidiary of Erhardt + Leimer GmbH, a producer of process control systems for the web converting industry. He has also held positions with companies in the fields of adhesive coating and printing. He holds an MBA from Jiaotong University, a bachelors degree in printing technology and management from Xi’an University of Technology, and a bachelors degree in printing technology from Stuttgart Media University in Germany. Aside from Chinese, Mr. Hu speaks English and German.
