Nordson EDI appoints Field Service Engineer in India and SE Asia

Rakesh Kumar Singh, experienced in extrusion technology, has become a field service engineer for Nordson Extrusion Dies Industries in India and Southeast Asia.

“Rakesh brings more than 20 years of experience in many phases of extrusion and in responsibilities ranging from processing to technical service,” said Kevin L. Bahr, aftermarket and customer service manager for Nordson Extrusion Dies Industries. “Our customers will benefit from his support in startup assistance, process optimization, and troubleshooting.”

Mr. Singh comes to Nordson Extrusion Dies Industries from the Indian subsidiary of Theysohn Extrusionstechnik, where he was a regional manager from 2008 to 2013. He entered the extrusion field in 1993 as an engineer with Kolsite Machine Fabric Ltd. Subsequently he spent several years as an engineer and chief of customer service at the Delhi office of Windsor Machines Ltd. In his career he has worked extensively with cast and blown film systems as well as those for raffia tape, pipe and profiles, and wire coating.

He holds a diploma in mechanical engineering from the Board of Technical Education in Lucknow, Uttar-Pradesh, India.
