NPE2015 to pack bigger 3D pavilion

NPE2015: The International Plastics Showcase promises an expanded NPE3D  pavilion to showcase the latest in 3D printing technologies and innovations. Show organizer SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association has announced at least 18 companies have already confirmed their attendance at the premier of the additive manufacturing showcare at  triennial trade event, which will run from March 23 to 27, 2015 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

Next year’s largest plastics industry event will combine a world-scale trade show and multiple educational programs. It will bring together 2,000 exhibitors and more than 60,000 industry professionals from 120 countries in over 93,000 sqm of space. In addition to actual product and technology demonstrations, attendees can leverage the NPE3D conference track with six presentations, part of SPI’s Business of Plastics Conference co-located with the show.

SPI has added eight more booths to the NPE3D pavilion, according to director of sales and marketing Brad Williams. The show will provide toolmakers, processors, and brand owners an opportunity to discuss 3D printing technology and recent developments in this sector, its current applications and future possibilities, Williams added.  

3D printing specialist Stratasys will demonstrate its Objet500 Connex1 multimaterial 3D printer, which can produce parts from three materials in a single production run. With this new 3D printing system, users can create assemblies employing components formed from three different materials, or components containing both rigid and flexible materials. 

Stratasys will also showcase plastics developed for 3D printing.
