THE future of 3D printing and packaging will take the spotlight at the upcoming 61st General Meeting of Members (GMM) of NVC Netherlands Packaging Centre. This will be held on 27 November 2014 at the Museum of the Image (MOTI) in Breda, the Netherlands.

The GMM discussion will cover the influences of 3D on packaging products, prototyping of packages, and development of transport packaging in logistics. 3D printing is increasingly seen as the third industrial revolution and is expected to grow exponentially to reach 5 to 10 billion euros in value in about five years, according to a TNO study.
The NVC members-only part of the meeting starts at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, and the open meeting will begin at 4 o’clock. The latter will focus on Imagination in Packaging. An exclusive museum tour followed by a unique Walking Dinner in the MOTI exhibition areas will cap the activities.
Each participant can receive his or her own 3D printed statue for free.
