Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum marks 10th anniversary in India

OERLIKON Leybold Vacuum celebrates a decade of successful operations in India.

Although vacuum technologies from Leybold Vacuum had been present in India before, the subsidiary was founded to deepen the company’s engagement with the local market by offering complete application support along with an augmented service portfolio.

In 2013, Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum set up its India head office in Bangalore to work closely with the local scientific community as well as to offer sales and service support to customers in South Asia.

New company appointments also signal the Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum’s goal to expand further in the region. “We continue to invest proactively in emerging markets”, explains Dr Martin Fuellenbach, chief executive officer of Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum.

“We have further strengthened local leadership by appointing industry veteran Parnandi Ravindranath as the new managing director. This will leverage the excellent technological expertise of Muniram Sreenivasulu  [general manager for sales and service of Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum] and strengthen our decade-long partnership with Indian customers by offering them new products and solutions,” said Dr Fuellenbach.
