Oerlikon moves to new logistics hub

OERLIKON Leybold Vacuum transferred to its new logistics centre in Cologne this January. The hub supplies Oerlikon’s production facilities with goods, and controls the flow of goods from the company to its customers and worldwide subsidiaries. Located in the middle of the production facilities, the three-storey building offers technical novelties that cut the length of internal pathways and the warehousing time for incoming materials. It comprises a basement with technical plant room and sprinkler tank. The warehouses for automatic small-parts, narrow-aisle, and large pallet, as well as the functional areas are on the ground floor, whilst the administration is on the top floor.
