Okuma, Sandvik Coromant host aerospace manufacturing event

Aerospace-focused manufacturers will learn about intelligent CNC machine tool technologies, evaluate equipment and processes, network with industry leaders and discover how to enhance quality and maximize profitability. 

OKUMA America Corp., a CNC machine tool manufacturer, and Sandvik Coromant, a supplier of cutting tools, tooling solutions and know-how to the metalworking industry, are teaming up to host  “Manufacturing Excellence – Applying Emerging Technologies to Aerospace Manufacturing” on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 8:00a.m. – 6:00p.m. and Wednesday, December 9, 2015, from 8:00a.m.- noon in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Guests will tour the Aerospace Center of Excellence, view CNC machine tool cutting demonstrations and learn about the latest CNC machining technologies for the aerospace industry to increase production, decrease costs, improve quality and maximize profitability.

Keynote speaker, Robert Mudge of RPM & Associates, Inc. supplier of LDT (laser deposition technology) products and services to aerospace customers, will discuss using additive and subtractive manufacturing to multiply productivity. Guests will also attend a learning session about IIoT (Industry Internet of Things) and view various CNC machine technology demonstrations.
