Over-printable cold foil

API took three years of R&D to create its latest cold foil, which offers fine detail down to a 3-point font. The TA foil can cover large solid areas and achieve high-quality gloss effects for text and graphics.

Available in nine shades, the foil is also designed to be over-printable so packaging designers and printers can produce any metallic color or effect including multi-colors and half tones, API said.

Cold foiling is suitable for applying metallic finishes on labels or packaging since the process uses standard printing methods.
