
Baking professionals can capitalise on the growing opportunity in the snacks food business, which according to Global Industry Analysts, Inc, will increase 7% annually to reach $334 billion in sales by 2015. At PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2013 manufacturers in this business will find a host of innovative materials, containers and technologies that enhance shelf appeal and product freshness, improve line efficiency, comply with food safety regulations and meet sustainability goals.
The fair which is scheduled from September 23-25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, will be attended by 1,600 exhibitors. It will be the most comprehensive resource of the year for packaging and processing innovation in North America, with special show features that make it easy for baking and snack attendees to find solutions they need across the line.
-The Baking-Snack Break lounge (Upper South Hall, Booth S-7127), hosted by the Snack Food Association (SFA), will provide a dedicated area where professionals can network with peers, meet with suppliers and engage experts for technical advice about packaging- and processing-related challenges.
-The Brand Zone, located in the South Hall, will feature innovative containers and materials that give brands a competitive edge at the point of sale and build loyalty with consumers.
-Small- and medium-sized baking and snack manufacturers (annual revenues $50-$500 million) qualify for the new SMB FastTrack program. This free program will connect attendees with exhibitors that offer special incentives, programs, pricing or other services to SMBs.
