Pass controller including online viscosity measurement

 The machine set data do not represent part quality at all. Even in case of two moulding machines of the same type and identical settings, this will not necessarily result in the same part quality. Already a different calibration of the machine controls leads inevitably to a different result. The only possibility for a quality related mold setup is through cavity pressure and cavity temperature. If these signals are identical, the same part quality can be guaranteed – independent from the set parameters of the machine. A fill simulation serves first of all for the optimising of a mould during its design phase, whilst machine settings can be calculated which helps to optimise the process up to a certain point. However during the actual production, nothing can replace the measured process data in the mould.
 Real-time graph display shows the actual condition of the process. If changes in the condition and part quality occur, alarm signals are generated to separate the bad parts. The equipment also calculates the process capabilities and saves data measurement.
