Paulaner wheat-beer exports soar

PAULANER Brewery Group, whose product is available in 74 countries, is seeing its exports for wheat beer soaring in Asia, North America, and Europe. In 2012, the company posted record sales of 2.9 million hectolitres of wheat beer, according to head of international sales, Marcus Korte.

In China, 14 Paulaner brewery pubs have been launched as beacons of Bavarian brew culture, and additional locations are under construction. In 2012, sales in this market exceeded expectations, growing by 10,000 hL. Meanwhile, in Italy, the most important market, sales grew to 10,000 hL, whilst France, second-largest market, saw a 3,000-hL increase.
