Pecan Deluxe looks to desserts for inspiration

Desserts are the inspiration behind the latest products from inclusions and toppings specialist Pecan Deluxe Candy (Europe), which is handling an increasing number of orders for bespoke combinations of flavours and sauces for pudding-based bakery applications.

The company’s range of bake-stable inclusions and decorations are not only found in desserts, but are inspired by them. The new muffin and cookie creations are Strawberry Fields Forever (using the company's bake-stable strawberry fudge, strawberry sugar pearls and Halal micro mallows) and Banana Drama (bake-stable treacle fudge with banana sugar pearls and chocolate coated shortcake biscuits).

The company supplies the ice-cream and frozen desserts markets, and is also the biggest European supplier of cookie dough pieces in a range of sizes, which feature in many household name premium ice creams as well as QSR and gastro-pub desserts. Products add value to an array of other desserts such as sundaes and gateaux and are ideal for manufacturers of quality ice creams and other chilled or frozen ‘sweets’.

The company says it uses entirely natural ingredients in segregated facilities, including baked cookie pieces which are the latest addition to an already massive range, available in a selection of flavours including double choc chip and fruit/spice combinations.

“It’s fascinating to see the way that muffins, cookies and doughnuts have evolved into mouth-watering works of art,” Pecan Deluxe commercial director Graham Kingston. “We have anticipated these trends and are continually investing in new product development, to meet demand from across the world for premium quality toppings and inclusions that create a point of difference and enhance the consumer experience.
