THE limited edition Penfolds Ampoule stands among the exclusive collection of the City of Dreams in Macau. There remains 11 units of the wine available for collectors.

Penfolds Chief Winemaker Peter Gago unveiled last remaining Ampoule in the world
The unveiling of the Ampoule on 8 July was celebrated with dinner and a master class tasting hosted by Penfolds Chief Winemaker Peter Gago at the Michelin-starred restaurant. The tasting class featured rare wines handpicked from the Penfolds museums cellars.
In 2012, the handcrafted vestibule and cabinet that encases the Ampoule was designed by artists from Australia. It contained the 2004 Block 42 Cabernet Sauvignon – a rare, special Bin wine made from the world’s oldest continuously-producing Cabernet Sauvignon vines. The 2004 Kalimna Block 42 Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded the highest accolade of 100 points by James Suckling, the renowned U.S. wine critic in 2011.
The Penfolds Ampoule is regarded as the most expensive wine directly sold from a winery in the world, priced at an RRP of AUD$168,000 at the time of its launch.
