Pentawards 2014 jury named

PENTAWARDS 2014, the 8th edition of the annual major world competition exclusively devoted to packaging design, will be judged by an international jury composed of eminent marketing specialists and designers from Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.

The international jury will deliberate from June 1 to 30, and winners will be announced at the Pentawards 2014 ceremony in Tokyo on October 9.

Gerard Caron, founder of Carre Noir (France) and publisher of Admirable Design, will once again chair the 13-member panel, composed of: Moyra Casey, Springetts Brand Design Consultants (London, UK); Isabelle Dahlborg Lidstr?m, Nine AB (Stockholm, Sweden); Dayton Henderson, Kimberly-Clark Corporation (Appleton, Wisconsin, USA); Somchana Kangwarnjit, Prompt Design (Bangkok, Thailand); Yoshio Kato, Suntory (Tokyo, Japan); Ku, Kyo-Woo, Aekyung Design Center (Seoul, South Korea); Sarah Moffat, Turner Duckworth (San Francisco, USA); Chris Plewes, Davis Design (Toronto, Canada); Christophe Pradère, BETC Design (Paris, France); Jonathan Sands, Elmwood (London, UK); Jamie Stone, GSK Nutrition (Singapore); and Gregory Tsaknakis, Mousegraphic (Athens, Greece)

Call for creative concepts

Once again, the Pentawards are also opening up to packaging concepts, and registration will be held in two different periods.
The 3rd Pentawards "Concept" will be open for online registration from 3 to 21 February 2014, for any packaging concept created since 1 January 2013, anywhere in the world. Original concepts that have not yet been launched in the market can be submitted across six categories – beverages, food, body, other markets, luxury and ecological concepts. Entries will be judged according to Creativity, Innovation and Branding by the panel.

The 8th Pentawards "Classic" will be open for online registration from 14 April to 23 May 2014, for packaging, or line of packaging, created or placed on the market since 1 January 2013, anywhere in the world.
