PerkinElmer acquires Perten Instruments

PERKINELMER Inc. (NYSE: PKI) has completed the acquisition of Perten Instruments Group AB.

The completion of the transaction will not affect PerkinElmer's 2014 fourth quarter results. The company, which is a global leader in improving the health and safety of people and the environment, generated approximately $ 2.2 billion revenue in 2013. A component of the S & P 500 Index, it has about 7,600 employees serving customers in more than 150 countries.

The Stockholm, Sweden-based Perten is a major global supplier of advanced analytical instruments for quality control of food, grain, flour, and feed.
