Recently, more than 450 delegates joined Plastics Forum “Gaining Competitiveness with Packaging Strategy”at Grand Ballroom, Landmark Hotel. All delegates showed their enthusiasm to adopt online marketing to move onward, expand businesses, and creating new opportunities for their businesses.
The two experts who excellently delivered informative speeches tackled the challenges and opportunities presented by the upcoming AEC, market intelligence, designing strategies, creative aspects and case studies on international packaging strategies.

Mrs. Mayuree Paklamjeak, Packaging Adviser, Plastics Institute of Thailand and Packaging Adviser, Thai Packaging Association said: “Middle class group is the key driver for the growth of packaging sector. In ASEAN, value of packaging industry is accounted for 1.7% of GDP. Indonesia is the largest market and Thailand is the 2nd. Packaging manufacturers should focus on innovation based on 3 factors including business needs, technology and preference of target consumers. The emerging trends that manufacturers should keep eyes on are health conscious, single serve, convenience (easy to open and re-closeable) ready meal and permiumisation.”
Mr. Teerachai Suppameteekulwat, Designer Director of New Arriva Co., Ltd., the owner and designer of QUALY brand said: “Packaging is the way to allow consumers to experience what product would like to offer. Package designs should focus on quality and the background story of product inside the package. We should have 3rd party to enhance the interest of products by showing their reference logos on the package. Identity and uniqueness plays vital part in brand and product awareness so we should pick the right color, shape, logo and graphic for product and its packaging. Good packages must have aesthetic value with long-lasting effect in consumers’ minds.”
