Plastics waste management as focus of 2016 APF

The 25th Asia Plastics Forum (APF), held in conjunction with the 11th Bangladesh International Plastics Packaging Printing Industrial Exhibition 2016, is taking place at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh from 20 - 22 January 2016.

 

The APF was formed in 1991 and currently comprises 12 member countries, namely, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. APF was established to share and exchange information regarding the plastics industry and economic issues in the Asian region, assist with finding solutions, and foster close business cooperation among the plastics processors in the Asian region.

 

The theme for this year’s APF is "Plastics Waste Management: Going Beyond the Observations" as APF has been focusing on environmental issues affecting the plastics industry for the past five years. International prominent speakers from the Society of Plastics Industry (SPI) USA and American Chemistry Council as well as industry experts from APF and Bangladesh’s waste management professionals have confirmed speaking at this event.
