Plastivision Arabia 2014 (PVA 2014) is expected to follow the highly successful Plastivision India which recorded 110,000 visitors from around the world. After the impressive launch of Plastivision Arabia in 2012, the second edition of Plastivision Arabia is scheduled on 7 – 10 April 2014 at Expo Centre Sharjah in association with the All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA), the oldest and the largest apex body of the plastics industry in India.
Plastivision Arabia 2014 has generated tremendous interest due to the combination of the World Expo in 2020 and the FIFA World Cup in 2022 – that too in quick succession -- is set to provide considerable momentum to regional plastics players, who are expecting demand to swell in the run up to these events. Dubai is set to spend over $18 billion for the World Expo 2020, and Qatar has earmarked a staggering $200 billion for the FIFA World Cup in 2022. These two events could propel plastics usage to a conservative estimate of nearly 6 metric tonnes, said Jayesh Rambhia, Past President, AIPMA and Chairman of Plastivision Arabia 2014.
Mr. Rambhia added “Combine this with economies that are cruising in the fast lane, the region’s plastics producers will have to look at acquiring new machinery and technology to keep pace with the expected heavy surge in consumption of plastics.
The inaugural Print Pack Arabia exhibition and conference is scheduled to be held alongside Plastivision Arabia, and will feature latest printing & packaging technology, materials and machinery. The second Arabia Mold is another concurrent event and will take place in association with DEMAT, the organiser of world-renowned EuroMold, the world’s leading fair for mould making & tooling, design and application development.
The trade exhibition will feature Consultants’ Clinic, Placement Pavilion, Business Opportunity Pavilion, Product Design & Innovation Pavilion and a Green Pavilion. Along with its concurrent show Arabia Mold, Plastivision Arabia will display raw materials and machinery for key segments such as plastic processing, injection moulding, thermoforming, packaging, industrial users, construction, infrastructure, automobile and telecommunication, amongst others.

They include UAE’s Borouge, Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company (Muntajat), and Saudi Arabia’s Sahara Petrochemical, Saudi International Petrochemical Company's (Sipchem), National Industrialization Company (TASNEE), and Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC).

Borouge was the Platinum Sponsor in 2012, this year, we will have six, including Borouge,” Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.
