CHINA扴 packaging industry is demonstrating its growing strength in the global arena. The total value of the packaging industry, just RMB7.2 billion in 1980, had risen to RMB627 billion by 2008. With a brilliant 17-year record, Sino-Pack and China Drinktec once again will have well-known local and overseas enterprises in the 2010 edition. The trade show will gather and display new food packaging machines, food processing machines, testing equipment and control systems, aseptic processing and packaging, labels and labeling systems, food packaging materials, printing and ink, industrial adhesive and hot melt systems, complex processing machines, and other new technologies, providing a one-stop procurement platform for both local and overseas buyers from the food industry.

Effective platform

Organized by the China Foreign Trade Center (Group) and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., and supported by numerous industrial trade associations, the 17th China International Exhibition on Packaging Machinery and Materials (Sino-Pack 2010) will be held from March 9 to 11, 2010 at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex (Area A) in Guangzhou. As the largest and most comprehensive packaging expo in China, the show will occupy over 30,000m2 and involve more than 500 exhibitors.

Sino-Pack 2010 demonstrates China抯 ever-growing strength in the global plastic packaging community, dominating in scale, international content, and marketability despite the global economic downturn. It focuses on four exciting and critical themes, namely "Beverage and Brewery Packaging Machinery Zone", "General Packaging Machinery and Materials Zone", "Plastic Packaging Products and Machinery Zone", and "Label Printing Zone" to provide total packaging solutions for the entire packaging chain.

Spotlight on plastics and machinery

According to a survey with visitors conducted at Sino-Pack 2009, plastic packaging products are of vital interest to many buyers, particularly those coming from the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, daily chemicals, and logistics industries. The thematic hall "Plastic Packaging Products and Machinery" is therefore spotlighted in 2010, with extensive support from numerous packaging associations including the China Plastics Processing Industry Association (CPPIA) and its professional committees such as BOPP, BOPET, Composite Film, Running Compound Film, Aluminizing Film, Biaxial Stretching Equipment & Technology, and Blown Film Processing Technology. Strong support is also received from the China Packaging Federation Plastics Packaging Committee and the Guangdong Plastics Industry Association.

The thematic hall will occupy 12,000m2, displaying plastic films for flexible packaging, hollow containers, and plastic packaging machinery from over a hundred renowned local and overseas corporations including Haitian, a renowned injection molding machines manufacturer and Simcheng, a leading manufacturer of cast film machinery. In addition, a high-level summit on plastic packaging in China, as well as a design competition, namely "Adsale Cup - The Competition of Environmental Packaging Design" will be held concurrently with the show.
