MORE THAN 40 sessions on industry trends and developments will complement product exhibits and demos at this year’s Pack Expo and Pharma Expo, scheduled to run from September 28 to 30 at Las Vegas, USA. Show organizer PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, has released the preliminary schedule for Innovation Stage.

The presentations, which will last about 30 minutes each, will provide show visitors and delegates with a valuable opportunity to understand cutting-edge technologies. Industry leaders and experts, consultants, exhibitors, and association partners will discuss specific applications and benefits.
The sessions will cover a wide range of topics, from the latest innovations such as advanced simulation software for packaging lines and anti-counterfeiting technologies to regulations in flexible packaging and workforce engagement. There will be discussions on the impact of serialization on the pharmaceutical industry, the latest snacking trends and their impact on packaging, and the evolution of metal detection. Other topics include transforming automated packaging with reusability and the roadmap for creating a highly engaged workforce.
The OpX Leadership Network, a dynamic community of manufacturing, engineering, and operations professionals dedicated to operational excellence, will discuss the latest in one voice solutions for workforce engagement, total cost of ownership, and factory acceptance testing.
Visitors can get valuable insights into processing and packaging trends at the free education sessions. These sessions will also discuss challenges in food safety regulatory compliance, workforce development, and measuring line efficiency.
According to Maria Ferrante, PMMI Education & Workforce Development vice president, “One of the greatest benefits offered by our on-floor educational programming is the opportunity for a ‘cross pollination’ of ideas. This enables attendees to tap the potential of practices and applications proven in one industry but unexplored in their own.”
The Pack Expo show floor will have three adjacent locations of the Innovation Stage in booths C-1041, C-1045, and C-1049. Pharma Expo will have a fourth stage in booth N-559. Sessions end at noon on September 30.
