PPG showcases "EcoLogical Solutions" products in Shanghai

PPG Industries presented its "EcoLogical Solutions" products and its continuous sustainability efforts to the local community during the "Opento- to Public Day 2010" organised by the Association of International Chemical Manufactures (AICM) in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (SCIP). Over 180 representatives of the Park, towns and villages nearby, communities, schools and some member companies of AICM and media attended the event and were impressed by the PPG booth with the theme of "PPG products found around the home". "This is the first time for PPG to participate in the Open-to-Public Day organised by AICM, which was very impressive," said Mr. Cathy Yan, general manager of government affairs and bus ines s development , PPG Asia/Pacific. Also, of the 65 new product s introduced in the year, 38 were expressly formulated to promote environmental sustainability by reducing energy consumption, volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and water use.
