THIS YEAR, exhibitors from over 30 countries will grace the 17th edition of Plastics, Printing & Packaging Expo Africa, a major trade fair for these industries in East Africa. The fair promises to be an excellent platform for forging more expansive business alliances, showcasing technological advances and paving roads for direct interactions with African traders from the East, Central and South African regions.
Africa is one of the fastest growing markets in the world, and PPPEXPO Africa is expected to attract thousands of buyers and decision makers from all levels and sectors of these industries. The exhibition aims to promote direct business linkages between buyers and sellers, and Kenya, as the gateway to the East African market, is fast emerging as the distribution and supply hub to the entire East African plastics, printing and packaging industry.
Besides its own market of about 33 million consumers, Kenya is the only distributor of goods to other East African countries including Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa and several others situated on the East coast of Africa. East Africa’s market alone is estimated to comprise 380 million consumers. Having the largest sea port in Mombasa, the country is the largest incoming source of products by sea to the East African region from Arab countries, the Indian Sub-continent, Europe and the Far East.
