Premier show facilitates entry into the global market

State-of-the-art technologies and machineries are expected to impress visitors of the upcoming 10th Vietnam International Plastics & Rubber Industry Exhibition (VietnamPlas) which will be staged at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) from 22-25 September 2010. The show will provide outstanding business opportunities for companies to further expand into the global markets and also take advantage of the benefits of being in the rapidly growing Vietnam market. The show is a joint cooperation by the Ministry of Industry & Trade - Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock Company (VINEXAD), Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd, Paper Communication Exhibition Service, and Shenzhen Mass Exhibition Co., Ltd. VietnamPlas2010 is fully supported by industry associations including the Ministry of Trade; Ministry of Industry; Ministry of Planning & Investment; The Vietnam Mechanical Association; Ministry of Science, Technology; Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment; Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association; Vietnam Forest Corporation(VINAFOR); Taiwan Society of Manufacture Engineering and Automation Technology(TSMA); Taiwan Society of Manufacture Engineering and Automation Technology (TSMA); Vietnam Plastics Association (VPA); Vietnam Saigon Plastics Association (VSPA); and the Rubber-Plastic Manufacturers Association (RPMA). The overwhelming support from the international associations further strengthen VietnamPlas' role in Vietnam's plastics and rubber sectors. VietnamPlas2009 attracted more than 12,900 local and overseas professional buyers. More than a hundred machineries were sold , while over 200 companies from 20 countries showed off their products. Most of the exhibitors and visitors expressed satisfaction to the overall outcome of the exhibition. The visitors learned from the vast information exchanged during the show that VietnamPlas has lived up to its reputation of an interactive venue to challenge the global trend, and future direction, of the industry. In 2010, the show will host more than 200 international and domestic companies comprised from 20 countries including, China, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, and Vietnam. It is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors worldwide. The categories of exhibits include plastics machinery, plastics accessories, plastics auxiliary equipment, parts and components, raw materials and intermediates. Over the past five years, Vietnam's GDP growth rose by 15% annually and this extended to the industries with 18.5% growth in manufacturing and services, and 6.9% growth in the machinery sector. The positive outlook also led to 22.16% average growth in foreign capital investment inflow. With signs of economic recovery, Vietnam's industrial output reached $18.8 billion, an increase of 6.2% in the first half of 2009. International investors and industry players are all optimistic about the current business conditions in Vietnam, and have high expectation for the country's future industrial development. In response to the growing development of the domestic industries, VietnamPlas will set an exclusive business platform for domestic and international quality suppliers of plastics, printing, and packaging sectors.
