Priya: Modern technology is a key to BALEXCO success

 Bahrain Aluminium extrusion company (BALEXCO) since its inception in 1977, until today remains an outstanding company in the manufacture of aluminium extrusions. It has been a matter of pride that the clients of BALEXCO are aware that the organisation is committed to manufacture high quality products which is a result of its investment in modern technologies and the constant upgrading of its human resources in their competence and expertise in administration and technical skills.
In an interview conducted by International Metalworking News- Middle East during the recent Gulf Industry Fair held in Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Company Executive Ms. Priya talks about BALEXCO's aim in providing solutions for homes, offices, industrial and other applications using aluminium extrusion and related technology. It has also been BALEXCO's endeavour to pursue appropriate products to enhance value for our customers.

 IMNE: Tell us a bit of BALEXCO's history.
Priya: BALEXCO was established as the first aluminium extrusion Plant in the Arabian Gulf, with the main activity of producing aluminium extrusion products and took the lead in the region, in the production of high quality extrusions and systems, used mainly as aluminium doors, window frames, and other products that are required in the construction industry. The establishment of BALEXCO was one of the pioneering developments in the history of the aluminium industry in the Middle East.
Since its establishment BALEXCO has left a marked influence on extrusion industry. Over the years BALEXCO has increased its capacity more than three times, and expanded into markets in the GCC, Middle East, and West Asia.

 To cope up with the recent developments in the aluminium industry and the increase in consumption and to meet the growing demand, BALEXCO has adopted the latest technologies in the field of production. BALEXCO has one of the latest and the most advanced state of the art plant equipped with well qualified and trained personnel in the Middle East.

 IMNE: Give us an overview of the best features of the products you are exhibiting at this show? How different is your product from those released by other companies?
Priya: The main products we feature in the show are as follows: BALEXCO 45 casement series systems BALEXCO 100 sliding series systems, BALEXCO 60 curtain wall systems, BALEXCO luxury systems, BALEXCO 45 thermal break systems.
Though the basic concept is the same the performance, the efficiency of our product is far superior than others and on par with internationally competitive systems.

IMNE: What are the industries you serve?
Priya: Major clients are the B&C (Building & the Construction) industry and about 75 percent of our products are used in this industry. Besides this, electrical industry, solar panel, ladders, scaffolding, air conditioning, and general engineering are also the industries that are being serviced.

IMNE: Where the product manufactured?
Priya: Our products are manufactured at our works located in Sitra Industrial Zone of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

IMNE: Please describe your company operations and how do you ensure that you meet the highest standards?
Priya: Balexco procures raw materials from ALBA. And our main activity is alum extrusions of various shapes. Currently we do about 9000 different profiles. We have three presses fully in operation and the fourth press was commissioned very recently.
