Liberia, after a turbulent past brought by years of civil war, is transitioning from relief aid to market-driven development. One of the problems it is finding difficult to solve as it works on its economy is food insecurity.
To enhance health and nutrition in Liberia, Project Concern International will test a framework for integrating the Care Group maternal and child health and nutrition model with its methodology for social and economic development. The organisation received a programme improvement award of $100,000 from the Technical and Operational Performance Support, which is in turn funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Food for Peace.
PCI is nonprofit organisation whose projects are focused on health and humanitarian aid. It has been helping developing countries for more than 50 years.
