ProPak Asia 2014: Coperion K-Tron sanitary filler

AMONGST the latest from Coperion K-Tron is the Sanitary Filter Receiver (SFR) built for food applications that require quick clean-out. This machine helps reduce food contaminants and the cross contamination of allergens. For easy cleaning, the unit is designed with rounded corners and without hidden areas or ledges. The side entry access door is tool-less, and the filter media is easy to access.

Other features on this model are an integral 70 degree hopper, mounting legs and pressure differential indicator. The model is made from DIN 1.4301 [AISI 304] stainless steel with highly polished P150 grit Ra 0.8 surface, and measures 914 x 1,219 mm (36 x48 in). The filters, made from spunbond polyester with an ePTFE membrane, are cleaned by sequential pulses of compressed air from a removable, locally mounted accumulator. Pulsing intervals are adjusted via an DIN 1.4301 (AISI 304) stainless steel IP66 (NEMA 4X) timer panel to ensure optimal cleaning.
