CLEANING equipment manufacturers have improved the resilience and performance of their products and one of the earlier steps to safer brushes was the introduction of plastics that were much more resilient than traditional wood and fibrous bristles. The latest step in the progress toward zero contamination is now available from Detectamet, a leading manufacturer and supplier of detectable equipment.

The Detectable Double Detainment System brush range which works by using stainless steel staples to fasten bristle groups into the brush head and then the grip, is reinforced by applying a detectable and antimicrobial resin to surround and lock in the bristles. This unique approach not only fixes the bristles but it also eliminates the holes and dirt traps. Dirt and moisture are no longer able to accumulate in the tuft holes and from there contaminate the food processing environment. By and large the majority of bristle contaminations will be eliminated.
Made in the UK from FDA approved material, all these new brushes can be autoclaved at up to 134°C (275°F) and work effectively in environmental temperatures ranging from -18°C to 79°C (-0.4°F to 174°F).
