ProPak China 2013: Anritsu confident about China market

FOOD and drug safety concerns in China make detection and equipment company Anritsu optimistic about the performance of its products in the market. 

“People’s awareness of food and drug safety concerns is rising, and this has led to positive growth for the packaging testing market,” said Mr Takayuki Seki, general manager of Anritsu Industrial Automation (Shanghai) Co, Ltd.

From the floor of ProPak China, Anritsu demonstrated its latest automatic checkweighers from the SSV series and inspections systems, which included high-sensitivity dual wave (duw-h) series of metal detectors and an X-ray inspection machine, mainly used in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.

In particular, Mr Seki explained that duw-h metal detecting technology has the following features and benefits:

> Three-times better detection sensitivity in terms of S/N ratio (Signal/Noise ratio that has never before been possible;

> Enhanced auto-tracking and auto-limit functions maintain detection sensitivity;
> ‘HIS Setting’ enables any operator to obtain highly sensitive detection.

Turning to Anritsu’s development plans in China, he said that the company’s new factory will mainly serve the Chinese market. Anritsu will continue to invest in product and market development efforts specifically for China, he added.
