ProPak China 2013: Industrial robotics leader debuts at Propak China

FOR its debut at ProPak China, robotics automation leader Fanuc (Shanghai) will demonstrate high-speed picking with the new intelligent M-2iA “Genkotsu” robot designed for a variety of picking and handling applications.

The M-2iA is ideal for both simple and complex assembly of food, electronics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, office supplies, consumer products, and solar panels. This model has the ability to work with primary (unpackaged) or secondary (packaged) food products.

Its portable and compact size allows operation in small spaces, while a hollow wrist allows tooling cables to be routed internally, minimizing wear and tear. A Food option features a special coating to handle acid and alkaline disinfectants, whilst an optional IP69 rating for the entire robot means the robot is waterproof and can withstand harsh environments, including dust and high-pressure cleaning.
