Posting 16% increase in floor area, China’s leading processing and packaging technology exhibition will be the largest in its 19-year history

POISED to return to Shanghai at SNIEC from 17 to 19 July, the 19th edition of ProPak and the 6th edition of China BevTek is set occupy 43,000 square metres – that represents a 16 % increase in area over the 2012 event and the largest show in the exhibitions 18-year history, said show organiser China International Exhibitions (CIE).  The nation’s leading processing and packaging technology exhibitions offer Chinese and international buyers seeking processing and packaging technology for liquids and solids, the largest display of equipment ever witnessed before in China.

The growth in ProPak China and China BevTek exhibitions reflects the rapid development of Chinese manufacturing and. in particular, for FMCG goods requiring safer and more reliable packaging. Demand for packaging machinery is forecast to increase 7.5% annually to CNY 40 billion (US$6.5 billion) by 2016. Filling and form/fill/seal equipment will remain the largest segment, whilst demand for labelling and coding equipment continues to grow rapidly. Whilst food and drinks packaging remain the biggest industry category needing processing and packaging technology, medical, pharmaceutical and personal care segments are the emerging ‘stars’ of the market.

Unrivalled visitor experience
Visitors to the exhibition will come from all sectors – from industrial to consumer manufacturing, all in search of processing and packaging solutions for drinks, snacks and confectionery; cosmetics; pharmaceuticals; electronics, FMCG goods and industrial product manufacturing. At the specialist China BevTek section of the exhibition, visitors from all liquid product manufacturers from dairy to soft drinks, fruit juices to beers and more will find the latest equipment and packaging ideas that will save them time and money in the production of their products and final deliver to customers.
Standing to benefit most from attending ProPak and China BevTek are visitors from general management, engineers, factory and plant managers, machine operators, product design, and purchasing departments, amongst others. A total of 17,533 buyers attended the 2012 exhibition and CIE expect this number will increase again at the 2013 exhibition.
