ProPak China: Focus will be on packaging optimization

It designs, manufactures and markets systems and equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray fluid materials.  At ProPak China, Graco exhibited through its representative office based in Shanghai and featured hot melt sealing and adhesive equipment for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other packaging industries.

Alvin Zhang, regional manager for Advanced Fluid Dispensing, said Graco InvisiPak is applicable for carton sealing requirements for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other industries “This is a tank-free hot melt adhesive delivery system has quick start-up – it is ready in less than 10 minutes,” he explained. “It provides great performance, even with low-cost adhesives, yet without the carbonation that increases clogging and leads to material degradation.”

Optimization is the next focus of attention for China’s packaging industry, Mr. Zhang said.

“Companies will want to reduce packaging costs while still meeting more stringent packaging specifications,” he said. Equipment with better automation and control and that allow operators to monitor production data, such as the InvisiPak, will be much more in demand, he added.

He said Graco will invest more manpower in the Chinese market to open up sales channels, provide innovative research and development to meet market segments, and allow a wider range of services and products.
