ProPak Vietnam 2014: MTE Bifaro eyes local confectionery market

The Italian-based MTE Bifaro is a first-timer to Viet Nam where it plans to introduce equipment to the confectionery market. Its goal is to expand global operations into the Southeast Asian market after having successfully established networks in the US, South America, the Middle East and Europe.

The company makes machinery that provides manufacturing solutions to cocoa and chocolate processors and manufacturers, and offers a range of machines that process the cocoa bean through its various stages of processing, which Antonio Bifaro (seen on left), the chairman of the company, pointed out, is a very complex process. The company also manufactures machinery dedicated to chocolate production and its finishing process. As the company takes its first steps into Viet Nam, Mr Bifaro says, “We feel very positive about the country’s market potential, particularly with the growth of the confectionery market here.”
