ProPak Vietnam 2014: Newamstar looks to Viet Nam strategically

Making their first visit to ProPak Vietnam is China-based Newamstar. China has had a long relationship with Viet Nam with regards to being a major trading partner and as the country’s economy continues to grow, more and more Chinese manufacturers are looking to this country to expand their market share.

Newamstar manufactures machinery and provides packaging solution predominantly for the beverage sector and produces a range of products for water treatment systems, beverage pre-treatment systems, filling and capping machines, blow moulding systems and secondary packaging systems. Tim Chen, Newamstar’s regional sales representative said that the company has been selling the odd machine to Viet Nam for some time now but “we’re starting to focus our effort here a little more strategically.” He said the company is still in the early stages of establishing a foothold in this market but the company is very optimistic about the country’s future growth potential. “In the short term we’re looking at securing local representation and building our service capabilities in the country, but our main focus is to continue to develop a loyal customer base and build our future growth in Vietnam on a strong customer focused foundation.”
