Qatar German Pipes Company (QGPC), a subsidiary of Al Sulaiteen Group of Companies, for the first time in Qatar, is set to manufacture a wide range of polymer resin concrete pipes for use in micro-tunneling projects to meet the growing demands.

The Al Sulaiteen Group has been committed to meeting Qatar’s agricultural needs for years and has achieved a reputation for innovation. Through QGPC, the growing demand of the construction and infrastructure sectors would be met.
Polymer resin concrete pipes are to be produced in Qatar at manufacturing facilities located at the New Industrial Area. The pipes would have such properties as high crushingand compressive strengths and do not require any additional protection on the inside when used for foul sewer and storm water applications. The product has already proved successful in Europe, the United States and Australia and initial indications suggest it will have a life expectancy in excess of 100 years.
The company recently held a seminar on pipe systems, and invited Dr Robert Stein, a partner in the consultancy company, S&P Consult GmbH, and a leading expert on pipe systems for many years. Dr Stein is respected throughout the world for his knowledge and expertise in the subject. In addition to Mr. Stein, the seminar was also attended by a number of other leading consultants, project owners, government agencies, consultants and contractors.
