RAMPF eyes lucrative adhesives market

GRAFENBERG-The appointment of Dr. Wolfgang Hodek at RAMPF Polymer Solutions is expected to push the company forward in the adhesives industry. In particular, the adhesives expert will expand the company’s product portfolio in areas such as silane-functionalized polymers, thermoplastic and reactive hot-melt adhesives, as well as silicones.

RAMPF Polymer Solutions, a developer and manufacturer of reactive resin systems based on polyurethane, epoxy, and silicone will now be taking on a leading market role also with its adhesive systems. "This is the beginning of an extensive bonding drive that will significantly strengthen our market presence within the coming months," says Dr. Klaus Schamel, Managing Director at RAMPF Polymer Solutions.

The expertise that will be necessary for this drive has been boosted in the past months by Wolfgang Hodek, who has over 30 years of professional experience in the development and production of adhesives and sealants with high-profile adhesives manufacturers including Forbo and, most recently, H.B. Fuller.  Hodek believes that the infrastructure already in place is perfect for the bonding drive. The RAMPF Innovation Center at the company’s headquarters in Grafenberg includes a laboratory that measures an impressive 1,000 sq.m.  

Dr. Wolfgang Hodek confirms that the first new products in construction and mounting adhesives will be launched in the market by end of this year.
