2003 was an important year in the company history of RAMPF. The establishment of the three subsidiaries, RAMPF Dosiertechnik, RAMPF Group, Inc., and RAMPF Ecosystems significantly increased the potential for realizing synergies within the group – and this potential has been harnessed with great success.
The facts speak for themselves. The number of employees in Zimmern o.R. has almost doubled, and sales nearly tripled. In the USA, the number of employees has increased six fold, and sales have grown by a factor of twelve. The world’s largest reactor for the acidolysis of flexible slabstock foams and soft integral foams in Pirmasens plays a key role in making products more eco-friendly – both inside and outside the RAMPF Group. Ten years of RAMPF Dosiertechnik,RAMPF Group, Inc., and RAMPF Ecosystems– 2013 was an important anniversary in the history of RAMPF.
“This expansion strengthens our competitive position considerably and makes us an even more attractive partner for our customers.” These were the words of Rudolf Rampf immediately after RAMPF acquired the dispensing technology business of Hugo Kern und Liebers GmbH & Co. in 2003. The company founder and now chairman of the RAMPF advisory board really hit the nail on the head. With over 2,500 system solutions on the market worldwide, RAMPF Dosiertechnik is now one of the leading manufacturers of low-pressure mixing and dispensing systems.
“As a provider of innovative systems for processing single-, dual-, and multi-component reaction resin systems, we have established ourselves as a leading partner for the automotive, electrical, household appliance, and filter industries,” says Bernd Faller, CEO of RAMPF Dosiertechnik. “We have supplied more than 800 machines since the acquisition. We employ a staff of 126, who achieved sales of just under EUR 30 million in financial year 2012/13.” He went on to stress that this rapid growth had been made possible through RAMPF’s numerous investments, particularly the construction of two generously-sized plants at the Zimmern o.R. site.
