 In a recent interview with International Plastics News - Middle East (IRNE), Mr. Ramsingh Rajput, Sales and Production Manager at Excel Plast L.L.C shared the company’s major thrusts and development since its inception, its unique selling propositions and the business strategies going forward.

IRNE: Which plastic products and services does the company excel in?
Mr. Rajput: Excel Plast L.L.C offers an entire range of plastic bags such as diaper and shopping bags, freezer/sandwich bags, chicken and meat bags, zipper, snack and garbage as well as side sealed type bags.
Our freezer/sandwich bags are multi-purpose bags and predominantly used for domestic or household purposes as these are ideal for storing food products. The zipper bags are for pharmaceutical and electronic components packaging. The snack bags are made from LDP and PP materials. We also offer a wide range of shopping bags with attractive prints and bottom seal, side seal, handle, etc.
Our other products include labels, stand-up pouches with zipper lock mechanism for easy re-use, as well as warning/duct tapes used at construction sites and traffic areas. We also manufacture barrier sign tapes used in telecommunication, sewage, and electricity lines.
Additionally, Excel Plast is engaged in the production of aluminium lids used for PET cups and barrier films used for food packaging produced out of EVOH, nylon and other special polymers. We produce PE films ranging from 100 to 2000 gauges for the construction industry or for storage purposes. These sheets are ideal for green house and safeguard against thermo-degradation and have high creep resistance in addition to low-water permeability. We also produce printed laminated films for flexible packaging purposes.

IRNE: How has the company’s journey been since inception?
Mr. Rajput: Excel Plast had a modest beginning, starting in 1998 with the intent of manufacturing printed and unprinted film and shopping bags. However, it grew from strength to strength and within three years from its inception, the company was churning out 5,000 tonnes per annum.
We then decided to diversify, given the growing demand for packaging of food and industrial items and started manufacturing various flexible packaging products. Our factory, located in the industrial area of Al Quoze in Dubai, has storage capacity and built-in area of 15,000 square feet each.

IRNE: How does the company maintain its special position in the markets it serves?
Mr. Rajput: We work on the sole mission of providing high-quality and competitively-priced products, further enhanced with our on-time delivery. In this highly-competitive market, we want our customers to come back to us with repeat orders and so we strive to please them.
