Ready for the growing fruit juice market

AS INDONESIANS become more nutrition-conscious, PT Doehler Indonesia will simply continue to provide the local market with premium ingredients. 

General manager Ricky Sutanto expects a surge in the local fruit juice market where Doehler supplies fruit juice concentrates to many beverage manufacturers.

While mixed fruit juices with antioxidants are popular, there is a trend toward the single flavor fruit juices, particularly in Indonesia. Among the popular flavors in Indonesia – as well as Southeast Asia – are guava, apple, orange and mango, says Mr Sutanto.

The company has an extensive portfolio of natural ingredients including coloring and flavoring for a variety of fruit juices.

“It will be the trend especially in color and flavor,” Mr Sutanto says. “Step by step our customers, especially those that are export-oriented, will be concerned about the use of more natural products.”
